Tailoring skill training

PREM MARG’s ongoing Tailoring Skill Training supports marginalised women in Hyderabad’s urban slums and adjoining districts, including women from migrant families, informal sector workers, school-dropout adolescent girls and unemployed women. Eight training units seek to train nearly 350–400 women annually in tailoring, garment-making and basic entrepreneurship, with support toward employment and self-employment.

NAIPUNYA

NAIPUNYA is an ongoing women empowerment and livelihood program offering Beautician Training, Mehndi Art Training and Embroidery Art Training. It supports marginalised women and adolescent girls with practical, market-oriented skills that can lead to employment, home-based enterprises and independent income. The program directly benefits nearly 340 women and girls annually.

SWABHIMAN & Prem Jyothi Mahila Sanghs

PREM MARG runs 15 Prem Jyothi Mahila Sanghs to strengthen women’s leadership, participation, financial inclusion, savings, internal lending and livelihood opportunities. Members receive training in leadership, documentation, financial management, organisational processes and community decision-making.

The ongoing initiative currently benefits 1,544 women through 15 Prem Jyothi Mahila Sanghs.

Earlier livelihood initiatives

PREM MARG has also implemented Mana Vantalu cooking and food-vending training, tailoring centres, beautician and Mehndi training, household product-making programs and nutritious garden initiatives. These efforts help women build practical skills, strengthen household income and pursue greater financial independence.
