Economic Empowerment

In order to promote Economic Empowerment of the excluded, women, persons with disabilities, dropped out youth several programs are initiated by PREM MARG. We promote Self Help Initiatives through saving and credit through Self Help Groups. The group undertakes inter-lending and then link the groups to the bank for credit. The groups are trained to upkeep the documentation and accounting. However the staff help them to keep the records. The group members are given training for various income generation programs.

1. Income Generation Program:

Women are given trainings on the preparation of detergent powder, herbal shampoo, cold cream, sun cream, floor cleaning liquid. Interested women prepare these items and use for themselves and sell in the local market. PREM MARG is preparing itself to bring out products of the members and making available market to them so that they become self relient.

2. NAIPUNYAM:

Women, unemployed and drop out youth are organised and they are given skill building programs to enhance their economic status. Currently PREM MARG organises the following skill building trainings:

• Tailoring Training Centres: 34 students have completed and 100 students are enrolled in 5 centres. 5 more training centres will be opened soon.

• Fast Food Preparation Training Centre

• Organic Farming Inputs preparation Training Centre.
